Hiram, Ohio 7-21-14: Much like round 6 in Minnesota, Vechery Racing was represented solely by Tyler Hamrick in the AMA ATV Pro and Pro-Am Classes at Round 7 of the Mountain Dew Nationals at Unadilla Raceway. The team is hoping to see Vechery and Dettling return before the end of the year but does not want to rush their return.
Once again on Saturday, the fences were lined with spectators for the AMA ATV Pro class to see the fastest ATV racers in the world compete at this historic venue. In moto’s one and two Hamrick was able to take two back of the pack starts and work his way into the top ten in both races. 10th-10th for an 11th place overall leaves Hamrick sitting 9th in Points with two rounds of racing remaining.
Sunday’s Pro-Am action would see a well-deserved up front start for Hamrick as he was able to work his way into the lead by the second lap. Unfortunately a few laps later Tyler would find himself in third where he would go onto finish in the first moto. Going into the first lap of Moto two Tyler would find himself in 12th place. Hamrick would go onto finish sixth in Moto two giving him a 4th overall for the day. After Sunday’s racing Tyler now finds himself in third place in the overall standings for Pro-Am.
Vechery Racing/Never Sleep Designs Satellite support riders had a great showing in New York. Vince Mirman took home a sixth place finish in Production B and a seventh place finish in Open B. Alex Pafford was able to claim a pair of eight place finishes in Super Mini and Schoolboy Jr Open and 10th overall in Schoolboy Sr. David Schrock finished 10th overall in Senior 40+.
Vechery Racing heads to Rd 8 Rocky Mountain ATV/MC RedBud ATV National on July 26th. Be sure to follow Vechery Racing on Twitter and Instagram as well as Facebook for all of the team updates and results.
