Hiram, Ohio 9-2-15: Vechery Racing/Never Sleep Designs’ team is pleased to announce the return of Casey Martin, Tim Dettling and Scottie Vechery to the 2016 AMA ATV Pro/AMA EDT-NEEDT/GNCC effort.
What was supposed to be an abbreviated season for Mt. Sterling’s Casey Martin turned into a full on ride with the Vechery’s for 2015. With very limited seat time Martin was able to pull off numerous top ten finishes and one incredible hole shot at Red Bud this past year. With his 2016 deal already in place Martin sets his eyes on a new training program this offseason looking to come into next season with the speed and endurance to consistently keep himself in the top ten. “I am very happy to announce that I will be returning to the ATV MX Pro starting gate for 2016 under the Vechery Racing tent. I’ll continue to keep a full time job all year but things will be a little different than last year for sure. Let the work begin, ” stated Martin.
The 2015 season had to seem like déjà vu for AMA Pro Tim Dettling as his season started off with another injury prohibiting him from competing for most of the season. Dettling and the Vechery Team decided to go another route once Tim was healthy and build a full on TT machine for the rest of the year. After running a few events in July and August the Vechery’s and Dettling have set their eyes on competing in the AMA ATV Extreme Dirt Track Series as well as New East Extreme Dirt Track series. Although not the typical Motocross Dettling had been used to riding for the past 12 years the Dirt Track series pose a whole new set of challenges focusing on machine setup and rider control. “When I first started racing Nationals the series had been split between MX and TT. I always wanted to try TT and thanks to the Vechery’s we built a purpose built TT bike before the Pine Lake national to see how we liked it. I am still learning the differences on riding style and bike setup but am really looking forward to next year,” said Dettling.
After taking all of this past year off to help with the AMA ATV Pro effort Scottie Vechery will be returning to racing in 2016 but this time with a cage. Vechery will compete in the Grand National Cross Country Series (GNCC) in the rapidly growing Side-by-Side (UTV) classes. Vechery will be contesting the series in his Polaris RZR and is looking forward to competing full time again. “2015 season is in the books and this by far was the best and most rewarding season so far. Everyone absolutely went above and beyond our expectations. I am really excited about the opportunity to race my Vechery/NSD RZR in the GNCC Series in 2016 and to help out Tim and Casey at their races” said Vechery.
“The 2015 season was our best season yet as a professional team and we cannot thank our riders, family, friends and sponsors enough for making that happen. Who would have thought nearly 10 years ago that we would go from racing a local series in Ohio to racing three professional series with multiple riders? We are very excited to see what holds for next year. Casey in MX, Tim in TT and Scottie racing again in GNCC should make for a very busy and fun filled season. We also plan to support a number of Satellite riders next year which will be named at a later date. Again I can’t thank our sponsors from the 2015 season enough for all their support and hopefully we will continue those relationships into 2016 and beyond,” stated team owner Gloria Vechery.
Vechery Racing would like to thank their sponsors for their continued support: TLX Transport Division of AWL Transport, Never Sleep Designs, MAXXIS Tires, Elka Suspension, Dave Schrock of DCS Truck Repair, Greg Pafford of Pafford EMS, Aunt Linda, Corrosion Specialties, Six 5 Design, TDR, Hetrick Racing, Fourwerx Carbon and Titanium, State 8 Motorcycles, SSI Decals, Meyer Coating, Hinson Clutch Components, Precision Racing Products, Baldwin Motorsports, DASA, Yoshimura-R&D, Streamline Performance, Rath Racing, Carlton Harley Davidson, TAG, CP Carrillo, Twenty7 Promotions, Weekend Warrior Motorsports and Mechanic Adam Zeleznikar.
