After a mid-season break, the UAE’s National Baja Championship returned to competition on January 20th and Elka sponsored driver Ahmed Al Maqoodi was part of the buggy division race. After taking the win at the first race of the season, he went on to make it two in a row with a first place finish.
“It was a good day for us, as the team took 1st, 2nd and 4th position, as well as maximum points in the Team Championship”, said Al Maqoodi, who last month won the 2016 Dubai International Rally.
“The season is going well for us so far and we want to continue this momentum through the upcoming international events”.
The next race is scheduled for February 3rd and the final event of the season will be held on February 17th.
