Vancouver, BC- Dunbar Cycles is proud to announce the formation of the Dunbar Cycles World Cup Team in partnership with Cycles Devinci and Elka Suspension for the 2011 season.
This Canadian-based team will see two high profile riders, Andrew Mitchell and Dean Tennant of Victoria BC, focusing on all the World Cups (with the exception of South Africa) and also competing at the US Open, Canada Cups/National Champs and other select races such as the Pro GRT’s and Crankworx, Whistler.
“We’re extremely happy to support Canadian riders at the international level,” says Dunbar Cycles owner, Rob Venables. “It’s something that’s been in the works for a while now. They will be piloting the new 2011 Devinci Wilson equipped with Elka Suspension. After we did some initial testing on the new Wilson, we knew that we had to put our top racers on them!”
Andrew is a 3-time Canadian National Champion that will be bringing lots of race experience to the team.
“I am super stoked to be back on Dunbar for 2011. Even better is to be back with Elka Suspension. The boys at Elka know how to get a bike’s suspension totally tuned to give me the confidence to open it up on any track. I am also really pumped on being back on a great Canadian made company, Devinci, and the super tunable 2011 Devinci Wilson”.
Dean Tennant is a two-time National team member coming off another solid year with a 2nd place overall in the Canada Cups and 3rd place at National Championships. “I am stoked to be racing even more world cups again this year and can’t wait to get racing on my new Devinci Wilson. I had a great time last season with Dunbar and I’m really looking forward to taking my riding to the next level thanks to their support.”
