WORCS Round 2 Primm Nevada
February 9th 2013
Production A
It was a cold and windy day at the second round of the WORCS series, but that all went away after the green flag dropped. DJ Noerr, Cody Mitchell, Chandler Waxman, Levi Shirley, and a few others were in front of me after we took off. In the second lap I took third place right behind Chandler Waxman. Just after, there was a tangle up in one of the corners which threw me in 2ndplace, from there I set my sights on Bryce Peart. In the fourth lap I charged the outside of a corner and passed the number 35 plate. After that I kept the number one position which earned me my first number one win this season. Thanks for the awesome products from Lonestar Racing and Elka suspension, it made my ride much easier and much smoother. Big thanks to my wheels and tire sponsor of GPS off-road products, go me through the sand and rough terrain faster and smoother. The bike ran good for the majority of the race, I had a little trouble with my radiator but it held up the whole time.

Pro-am
The weather was cold, but it was far better than the mud and rain we had to endure at the previous race in Arizona. This round there was a Pro-Am award of $200 for whoever made the holeshot after the dead engine start. After we took off I was pushing hard on the first lap. Lots of riders were making tons of mistakes, I was taking advantage of those mistakes and by the first lap I ended up in 5th place. I made my way up to 2nd place by the third lap. When my quad started to smell extremely bad, I looked down and there was antifreeze everywhere. I wasn’t going to stop now. I was gaining on first place, (#53 Mike Sloan), when my bike really started acting up. It was in bad shape so I kept pushing to see how far my bike would go till it would shut down. I had first in my sites when all kinds of white smoke blew in the air. I pulled over and shut it off as quickly as possible. There were only 4 laps to go and I had to sit out the rest of the race. I was disappointed, but hey! What can you do with a bad radiator hose? Its mechanical failure and no one can predict that! Hopefully next race will go better.
Like to thank my sponsors: Lonestar Racing for the amazing products they make. They’re products make a smoother ride and they last forever. GPS off-road products for amazing tires and wheels. They are the best wheel and tire combination for any kind of racing. Elka suspension, they’re the best shock out there. Without their shocks I wouldn’t have made it through the weekend alive. Flyracing, they make cool and extremely comfortable gear. Pro-motosports, they help me in any way possible. They are a great shop to go to for anything you need done to your bike. Great people. Karley Brown Images, she is one of the best photographers. She’s always there when there is action. Torco Lubricants, Laker Custom, Fspproductions, Rynopower, Fasst bars, REKLUSE clutches, Ellis race cars, and Garnea boots.
