Sunset Ridge MX by Troy Hill
I would like to start this report with a very special “Thank you” to SSI Decals and Ian Harris for the very special pink graphics that he personally delivered to the track. They set the stage for me and my team to have my very best weekend of the season. Plus it was a fundraiser for a very special charity to me and my family. The Susan G. Komen breast cancer race. This means a lot to me because my grandmother fought it and won. This weekend was truly for her. Sunset went great for me. I really like the changes they made to the track. The track was awesome the entire weekend. Saturday, we started out awesome. In the first moto I got the holeshot and led the first two laps, then I got major arm pump but continued to ride through it. I held on for a third in that moto. Second moto I knew I had to redeem myself. So I pulled the holeshot and had a great battle for first but lead every lap and took the win. Third moto we were last moto except the pros ,and the track guy’s water the starting gate or should I say drowned the gates which caused our set up to be off ,and I end up about tenth off the gate. I fought my way up to fifth place that moto.
Sunday went great; I ended up with two second overalls and one third overall. I apologize to everyone for this being so late. I really wanted to make sure I spent every extra minute I had this week to work hard training. So that I can take first overall at Ohio.
I would like to thank all of my sponsors that make this all possible: My team: FSI/Janssen Motorsports, my mechanics Jimmy, and Todd for the extra help. Also I would like to thank my family and my teammate Cody Janssen, Fredericksburg Motorsports for getting me all the parts I need. SSI decals for the hooking me up with the awesome pink graphics, Elka Suspension for everything they do for me, DP brakes, Motul, Maxxis tires, 100%, Hinson clutches, Rheem, Gemaire, Jeremiah Jones, Walsh, Rath, Thor, D.I.D, Tweeked Powersports and FMF pipes.
