Lucerne Valley, CA (4/26/2011) – Andy Lagzdins extended his National Hare and Hound Series win streak and series points lead at Round 6 , the Virgin Voyage hosted by the Vikings Motorcycle Club on April 23rd at the Johnson Valley Off-Highway Vehicle Area outside of Lucerne Valley, California. Lagzdins battled a brutally rocky and technical course to finish just ahead of defending series champion Kyle Penner.

“Kyle got the holeshot and we were almost side by side through the bomb. We battled for quite a while until I was able to get by him and into some clean air. From there I just made sure a cleaned all the rocky sections and didn’t get hung up anywhere,” stated Lagzdins after the race. The 44 mile loop laid out by the Vikings used every aspect of the OHV area, and in addition to the notoriously jagged rock gardens there were miles of whoops, hillclimbs, and dry lake beds.

Lagzdins has now racked up a four race win streak, and even though he missed the first round due to a conflicting WORCS event he now has a commanding lead over Penner for the championship with three rounds left in the series. The next race is May 8 in Nightingale, NV at Cheaters MC.
