With the new JB 250 HONDA finished and looking very special we set of to PDV in France the biggest quad meeting in Europe .This would be Ayrtons debut both on the new quad and in the PDV kids race . With very little time to practice and get the quad set up before we went it was all a bit of suck it and see . Practice and qualifying went ok the quad and Ayrton both looked smooth and with no problems qualified 5th . Race 1 he slotted into 9th round the first turn but using the superior handling of the JB chassis and the ELKA stage5 suspension moved up to 4th by the end of the moto ,and more importantly the lap times came down by over 6 seconds.

image[3]Race 2 on Sunday morning and the track was completely changed after rain during the 5hr night session of the main event . as the flag dropped the DWT MXR-V4 rear tyres grabbed to much grip and caught him out bogging the engine which left him at the back of the pack ! with the red mist down Ayrton chased hard for the full moto pulling back up to a well earned 5th place . Race 3 he made sure not to make the same mistake unlike pole sitter and race 2 winner Paolo Gallizi who staled directly in front of Ayrton causing him to swerve around the stricken CAM-AM . 6th round on the first lap he set about working some outside lines and making some “ballsy” moves to work his way up the leader board and take 3rd at the finish , it was plain to see he had jelled with the new quad as the lap times were over 10 secs faster than his qualifying time ! 5-4-3 was enough to give Ayrton 2nd on the podium . After the race Ayrton commented ” this quad is awesome everything feels right it does every thing I want it to , I can wait to race this next season”.

The Quad looked fantastic and it created lots of interest with people taking photos and commenting on facebook etc , both on the track and in the paddock .

Thanks for all of your help and support Keith/Ayrton
