Patrick Beaulé – Dakar Stage 11 Update “La Rioja to Fiambala”
St. Bruno, QC, January 16, 2013 – Aldo Racing/KTM Canada rider Patrick Beaulé continues to move toward his ambitious goal of completing the 2013 Dakar Rally. The Quebec born rider completed the 11th stage in 63rd place, moving up one position for 62nd in the overall standings.
“Today was Fiambala — a notoriously difficult stage” explained Patrick. “I was able to capitalize on a number of navigational challenges to start the day strong, and to continue the good placements we’ve had despite a difficult course today. I can’t thank my mechanic JF [Charlot] enough;the Aldo Racing/KTM Canada 450 Rallye Replica is running flawlessly”, added Beaulé.
There are only 3 stages remaining in the event which ends on Saturday, plus an epilogue stage to the finisher’s podium in Santiago Chile on Sunday.

Patrick Beaule is one of Canada’s most accomplished off-road motorcycle endurance racing champions. He holds an impressive list of titles: three Canadian Motorcycle Association (CMA) National Enduro Pro-class titles; one Canadian Enduro Championship (CEC) E1 Pro title; three Off-Road Ontario Provincial Enduro Pro-class titles; and, two prestigious International Six-Days Enduro (ISDE ) silver medals (Chile and New Zealand). Saint-Bruno, QC, le 16 janvier, 2013 – «Le motocycliste Aldo Racing/KTM Canada Patrick Beaulé continue de progresser vers son objectif ambitieux de terminer le rallye Dakar édition 2013. Le Québécois a terminé la 11e étape en 63e place, et a avancé d’une position au classement général, soit en 62e place.
«Aujourd’hui, c’était Fiambala, une étape que par tradition est particulièrement difficile», explique Patrick. «J’étais en mesure de capitaliser sur un certain nombre de points de navigation difficiles pour bien commencer la journée, et ceci m’a permis d’avoir un autre bon placement malgré le terrain difficile. Je ne peux pas assez remercier mon mécano JF [Charlot]; ma moto Rallye Réplica 450 Aldo Racing/KTM Canada fonctionne parfaitement », a t’il ajouté.
Il ne reste que 3 étapes avant la fin de l’événement samedi, ainsi qu’un épilogue au podium des finisseurs à Santiago au Chili dimanche.

Patrick Beaulé est l’un des champions de moto d’endurance hors-route les plus accomplis au Canada. Il est détenteur d’une liste impressionnante de titres: quatre fois Champion national d’enduro Pro du championnat de l’Association Canadienne de la Moto (CMA); Champion national d’enduro (CEC) dans la classification E1 Pro, trois fois champion d’enduro provincial de l’Ontario dans la classification Pro, deux fois gagnant de la médaille d’argent prestigieuse au «International Six-Days d’Enduro » (ISDE), au Chili et en Nouvelle-Zélande. En plus de ces titres, Beaulé a également remporté l’Enduro du Corduroy dans la classification Pro quatre fois, a été 3 fois participant dans l’équipe Pro gagnante de l’épreuve d’endurance de 12 heures au Québec, et deux fois remporté la course d’équipe Pro des 24 heures d’endurance en moto sur glace en Alberta. Il s’agit également d’un finaliste du rallye DAKAR en 2012, et du premier Canadien à finir la course à titre de navigateur d’automobile de rallye dans l’histoire de la course.
