Patrick Beaulé – Dakar Stage 10 Update “San Cordoba to La Rioja”
St. Bruno, QC, January 15, 2013 – “We’re another day closer to the finish, and we are still here, running consistently toward our goal of finishing”. That’s how Canadian Patrick Beaulé summarized his thoughts following Stage 10 of the legendary Dakar Rally.
The accomplishment is no understatement, considering 49 of the 196 motorcycles that started the event are now withdrawn, with almost yet another third of the event still to come, including the notoriously difficult Fiambala in stage 11 tomorrow.
The Quebec-born rider completed the day’s stage in 74th place, consistently maintaining the 63rd position in the overall standings after 10 of 14 stages.

Patrick Beaule is one of Canada’s most accomplished off-road motorcycle endurance racing champions. He holds an impressive list of titles: three Canadian Motorcycle Association (CMA) National Enduro Pro-class titles; one Canadian Enduro Championship (CEC) E1 Pro title; three Off-Road Ontario Provincial Enduro Pro-class titles; and, two prestigious International Six-Days Enduro (ISDE ) silver medals (Chile and New Zealand). In addition to these titles, Beaule has also won the infamous Corduroy Enduro in the Pro-class four times, was 3 times team Pro-class 12-hour endurance event winner in Quebec, and twice Pro-class 24-hour endurace ice-race team winner in Alberta. He is a finisher of the grueling DAKAR rally in 2012, and the 1st ever finishing automotive-class navigator in Canadian history.

La réalisation n’est pas de sous-entendus, considérant 49 de ces 196 motos qui ont commencé l’évènement sont maintenant retirées, avec encore presque un autre tiers des étapes encore à venir, y compris l’étape infâme de Fiambala demain.
Le motocycliste Québequois a terminé la 10e étape du Dakar 2013 en 74ème place, en veillant à maintenir la 63e position au classement général.

Patrick Beaulé est l’un des champions de moto d’endurance hors-route les plus accomplis au Canada. Il est détenteur d’une liste impressionnante de titres: quatre fois Champion national d’enduro Pro du championnat de l’Association Canadienne de la Moto (CMA); Champion national d’enduro (CEC) dans la classification E1 Pro, trois fois champion d’enduro provincial de l’Ontario dans la classification Pro, deux fois gagnant de la médaille d’argent prestigieuse au «International Six-Days d’Enduro » (ISDE), au Chili et en Nouvelle-Zélande. En plus de ces titres, Beaulé a également remporté l’Enduro du Corduroy dans la classification Pro quatre fois, a été 3 fois participant dans l’équipe Pro gagnante de l’épreuve d’endurance de 12 heures au Québec, et deux fois remporté la course d’équipe Pro des 24 heures d’endurance en moto sur glace en Alberta. Il s’agit également d’un finaliste du rallye DAKAR en 2012, et du premier Canadien à finir la course à titre de navigateur d’automobile de rallye dans l’histoire de la course.
