Elka Suspension will race the Dakar 2025!
A first appearance for Elka Shocks!
For the first time ever, Elka Shocks will be taking over the world-renowned Dakar Race!
Known for it’s gruesome length and hardcore parcours, featuring 12 stages and over 7700 kilometres of pure racing, it’s guaranteed to be the most demanding 2 weeks of racing our shocks have ever been put through. It’s also the best opportunity to show everyone what we’re made of, once again. And who would be better to put them to the ultimate test than the one racer that’s been doing it over and over for the past decade? No one.
We’re incredibly proud to announce that for yet another race, Hunter Miller will be pushing his Elka Shocks to new heights in the world’s longest race. For the first time ever, Hunter will be participating in the Dakar and he’ll be doing so in the all new Can-Am Maverick R specially fitted with his trusted Elka Shocks. He won’t be alone taking on this challenge, as racing legend Andrew Short will also be participating as is navigator and co-driver! We’re extremely proud and thankful to be partnering up with South Racing, a leader in powersports that made this appearance possible.
He knows the Dakar won’t be an easy challenge, so he knows he can rely on the one suspension company he’s been testing and developing with for the past decade. Together, we see it as yet another opportunity to push the boundaries of shocks.
And that’s exactly what we’ll do.
Hunter Miller
If you know Elka, you know Hunter. Along with his brother Cody Miller, he’s founded Miller Brother Racing and whether they’re racing together or against one another, they can do it all. We’ve been partnered with Hunter for well over a decade, and that partnership has led to the best UTV shocks money can buy.
From his racing debuts in smaller series to his win King of The hammers, Hunter could always rely on Elka. Whether it was for the months spent developing, testing and pushing the limits of shock absorbers together or to come out with brand new setups specifically for racing, partnerships with athletes like Hunter have always been in the DNA of Elka Suspension.
Andrew Short
Hunter couldn’t attack the thrilling challenges of the Dakar by himself. That’s why he’s got one of the best co-drivers by his side, Andrew Short. A legend known for his performance as an AMA Pro since 2001, Andrew really can do it all. Together, they’ll be aiming to take the win in the world’s hardest race.
With a long list of wins in all types of different Moto series as well as experience in everything related to off-road like Moto, Rally, trail riding and various others activities, he’s the Navigator and Co-Driver you’d want in all 12 stages at the Dakar. They’ll be pushing the boundaries of suspension as we know it, and their Elka shocks will be there supporting them every step of the way.
