Mid West, United States (07/27/2019) – For the 4th and final race of July, Polaris RZR/Yokley Racing, John Barnes finds the podium again. This time in Rosedale, IN at the Midwest Cross Country.
Barnes took off from row 2 with a mid pack start. By the end of lap two, he worked his way into the top 5. From there, he fought the rocks and dust being thrown at him to be a contender for podium position. He made a run to the front but was held back by high belt and engine temps. He finished a respectful 3rd.
Barnes commented, “We pushed the car has hard as we could. My belt temperature got so hot it went off the map of our gauge. My engine temperature held solid at 234 degrees. We lost significant power at the end of the race and was able to fight off challengers to maintain the position.”
The team will have a couple weeks off until the second week of August and will return to racing at IXCR.
