Baron Goes Has Near-Perfect Glen Helen WORCS Weekend

CST’s Beau Baron dominated the Pro ATV race and finished second in both Pro Production and Pro Stock SXS races during the WORCS weekend at Glen Helen Raceway in Devore, CA. Baron was on his game as the WORCS returned to action after its nearly four-month summer break.

Most notable was his runner-up finish in SXS Pro Production, a class that has posed difficulties for Baron and his Polaris RZR Turbo. He was pleased to put earlier season issues behind him and put together a flawless run.

“I was pretty stoked to get a second place because I haven’t had good results in this class so far” said Baron. “I guess things are finally getting straightened out.” Doug Roll did a great job on my Elka suspension and the CST Dingo tires worked perfectly. Everything was just awesome.”

In the SXS Pro Stock race, Baron piloted his Polaris RZR RS1 to another runner-up finish and took the points lead in the process. Baron now has a one-point in what is WORCS’ most competitive championship.

“I got off to a decent start and kept the pressure up until I could make the pass for second,” said Baron. “I ran the CST Stags. They worked good everywhere. My Elka suspension was awesome.”

Baron topped off the weekend with his third Pro ATV victory of the season.The win allowed him to extend his lead in the title chase to 14 points.

Baron snagged the holeshot and was able to secure his lead for the remainder of the race. 

“On the second lap we went over this roller, then to the left, and that’s where they opened up the bridge,” said Baron. “I went straight over the bridge and he missed it and went up the hill. As he came back down the same hill that gave me the gap that I needed. He was riding hard and we had a great race.”

Baron will be back in action when WORCS next heads to Shorty’s Sports Park in Blythe, CA. That race is scheduled for October 16-18th.
