Muddy Creek Raceway, TN

The second round of the Mountain Dew AMA ATV National Championship Series at Muddy Creek Raceway went much better for me than the opening round. With the new track layout, I felt like it really suited my riding style. Saturday’s races went well. In 90 open Sr., I took a fifth. 90 Shifter (12-15) went great as well, I finished second. Supermini didn’t go as well, we were the last race of the day, the track was very slick, and I finished that moto in 10th.
Sunday was a great day. In 90 open Sr., I didn’t get a good holeshot but I kept charging, made a lot of passes, and took the win in that moto for a second overall on the weekend. In the 90 Shifter (12-15) Class, I had a chance to take the overall but my competition got the holeshot and I got 11th of the gate. I made my way all the way up to where he was on the last lap and I didn’t quite have enough time to make a pass on him. I took second overall in that class. In Supermini, the weekend didn’t go my way. With me having to come from the back in the first moto, and being last race again, I was physically drained. Since I finished mid pack in Moto 1, I had a bad gate pick. That lead to a ninth place start, but I finished strong and made my way up to fifth place.
I would like to thank all of my sponsors that make this all possible: My team: FSI/Janssen Motorsports, my mechanics Jimmy and Todd. Also I would like to thank my family and my teammate Cody Janssen, Fredericksburg Motorsports for getting me all the parts I need. SSI decals for the sweet graphics, Elka Suspension for everything they do for me, DP brakes, Motul, Maxxis tires, 100%, Hinson clutches, Rheem, Gemaire, Jeremiah Jones, Walsh, Rath, Thor, D.I.D, Tweeked Powersports and FMF pipes.
