Now that nice weather is here everywhere, we’re seeing more and more Can-Am Spyders on the road. The owners of these original vehicles like to feel in control and have confidence while driving, the Elka shocks offered for them are an effiicent way of improving both control and comfort!
The OEM shocks on these vehicles offer very little to no adjustment at all, a lack of correct rebound and a spring selection that does not provide great control. Many riders are complaining about nose squatting and being deported to the outside of the turn at higher speed. The result is that they have to slow down in order to stay in control.
Elka shocks have been engineered to solve these important issues. Offering a selection of springs adapted for the vehicle and for the driver as well as a properly tuned rebound results in solid and precise cornering. The driver is able to keep a steady pace in high speed cornering with no squatting and both wheels solidly planted on the ground. More control = more confidence.
As for the rear shock, it also offers little to no adjustment so it quickly stops being efficient when riding two up, adding luggage or towing a small trailer. Even the factory option hydraulic shock can be improved with our rear shock upgrade. We build them to your weight and they are easily adjustable for two-up riding, even more so with our optional remote hydraulic preload adjuster. The result is more comfort and no bottoming out, no matter your riding style or the extra weight on the Spyder
