WORCS Round 1
Taft, Ca
After arriving at the track I got to do my 3 motocross practices.
Doug Roll helped me dial my shocks in and after that it felt like I was riding on a cloud with my Elka suspension Stage 5
During tuning I found out I had a bad ball joint and thankfully David Flores had a spare ball joint that I was able to borrow. After practice we got the quad prepped and ready for my Production B race. I lined up very early and I felt very confident in my line up and was prepared for the long race. Off the start my Maxxis tires hooked up with perfect traction and I was able to pull the holeshot and lead the 1st lap. That was my 1st holeshot at WORCS. After not racing in a while arm pump started getting to me near the end of the 2nd lap so I started falling back into 5th and that’s where I finished. The bike held up good especially the motor worked on by Golden Motorsports. Then came Sunday, the fog was rolling in heavily. I launched off the start and took 3rd in the start and just kept a steady pace through the race, couple people passed me then I passed them back. I went through 2 sets of goggles, the fog created moisture on the goggles then the dust stuck right to them. I kept wiping them off as much as I could with my glove to help keep it clean. I was able to pull 3rd out of 8 and It was all because of my mom and dad and my awesome sponsors. I plan to train more and be more prepared for round 2.
Big thanks to all my sponsors. Elka Suspension, Lonestar racing, Motul, Renthal, DWT, Golden Motorsports, Uni, WFJ racing, Paul Price and AZ Rock.
