Mid South, USA (July 24, 2021) The Polaris RZR/Yokley Racing team with their pilot, John Barnes, has set some blistering consistency in June and July. Racing a Polaris RZR Pro XP and aRZR S 1000, the team is hot right now. For five events in a row, the resume consists of (1) 1st place finish, (1) 2nd place finish, and (3) 3rd place finishes. The most recent finishes being this past weekend by accomplishing a 3rd place finish at the Midwest Cross County in Rosedale, IN and another 3rd place finish at PowerPlex Park in Lewisburg, KY. The team looks to carry the success into August.
On Saturday, the day started early with the Powerplex Park event in Kentucky beginning at 9:45 am and concluding at 11 am. The Polaris RZR S 1000 was the RZR of choice for the tight woods to compete. Barnes battled in the top three all day and took the checkers in 3rd.
Once the race concluded, the team packed up quickly to roll on for 4 hours to the North just outside of Indianapolis for the second event of the day at 5:30 pm. Both states were blistering hot with heat index over 100 with plenty of humidity and dust.
The second race in Rosedale, IN was a hard fought day. Barnes did not get a good jump and went into the woods seventh. Then, he was hung up in a bottle neck in the woods. It took most of the race to make it into the podium slot. In the final lap, he made a charge for second closing within one second away at the end of the 60 minute race.

Barnes commented, “We’ve had this weekend planned for a while. I wasn’t feeling very well Saturday, but I was determined to make things happen. My team did a great job preparing everything and getting us out there. I was able to race smart and get on the box at both events.”
