MEXICO, June 4th, 2016 – Team JR Racing #1A riders Javier Robles (rider of record), Josh Row, Felipe Velez, Jose Luis Meza Velez, Julio Banda and Gilverto Ramirez have won the 48th edition of the annual SCORE International Baja 500 desert race, touted as the roughest Baja race ever with a rocky course and temperature hovering above 115 degrees in the mexican desert.
The race started in Ensenada, Mexico at 5:30 AM. Team JR Racing #1A was the first team out of the line in the Pro Quad Division. The team had a fabulous day aboard their Duncan/Roll/Elka Honda TRX450, which ran strong despite the brutal heat that reached 120 degrees during this year’s event in the San Felipe area.The #1A quad reached the finish line after 10 hours, 51 minutes and 12 seconds of pounding through whoops, more than an hour ahead of the 2nd place quad.
