Great WORCS Weekend at Washougal for Beckman Brothers Racing and Apex!
Washougal MX is a beautiful National track located in Western Washington.
The WORCS motorcycles and Atv’s shared the track for weekend.
Apex Atv’s took 21 out of the possible 27 podium spots for stock/production youth classes.
The youth turnout was smaller than normal but possibly the 100 degree weather in Wa state
had something to do with it.  I thought Washington state was cool and rainy…..right…….
The Beckman Brothers brought home 7 Trophies and are looking to take 5 (possibly 7)
WORCS CHAMPIONSHIPS in 2011!!!

Travis “The Rocket” is leading the series points in all 3 of his classes.
He brought home 2 wins this weekend (70cc Production 6-11 & 70cc Open 6-11)but ended up off a cliff in the Sport 8-15 Class.  Beckman was fine but the cliff incident put him 2 laps down.  In Beckman fashion he rode incredibly hard the last 30 minutes of the race (causing his and other mothers to gasp) coming back to pull out a 6th place.   Grandma / Grandpa / Aunt and cousins who live in Washington, came to watch and were impressed!  Nice work Rocket!!!

For Tylers first year in the 250 class he has the privilege of riding the new Apex 250. (Just featured in Dirt Wheels Magazine)
Tyler is smooth and consistent (5x WORCS Champion) but has to race against his older brother.Tyler pulled the HOLESHOT in both classes but conceded to his brother to avoid a repeat of Taft Round #1 where “Big Bro Took Him Out”…….Literally! Tyler brought home a 2nd and 3rd place in the 250 Production and Production Sport Class this weekend. Despite his older brother, Tyler will be in the top 3 in both his classes at the end of the season. Next year Tyler…..Look to Next Year cause TJ moves to the 450 class.

TJ had a great weekend!  Two 1st places and a chance to Co-Pilot the UTV driven by Mark Williams from Eastern Wa.  The UTV race was a blast.  TJ loved the part where they rolled in a corner……… But he thought the part where they rolled down a hill over and over was the bomb!!!  Not sure Mark agreed since it was his UTV. TJ currently leads the points in the 250 Production Class and will Fight to keep the points lead and take the Championship!!!   Nice Job Mr. T.J. !!!!

Tanner knows how to win and next year you will see him in the Pro Am.  This WORCS Champion continues his training and practicing.  He brought home a 2nd place in the Sport  A Class and a broken part in the Production Class.  Tanner had the fastest lap in both his classes but continues to work on consistency.  Tanner is the tallest and one of the friendliest 16 year olds in the pits, but put him on the track and he is a fierce competitor.  Tanner will most likely pull a Championship and possibly 2 out of the WORCS Series this year.  Good Luck Tanner!!

That’s it for now.  Thanks for your support.
